AS A COUNCIL MEMBER:
@ Saved the Fire Dept. $80,000 annually, saving enough to hire the first full-time Fire Fighters.
@ Negotiated a deal to purchase Main Street Boat Launch property to rebuild the launch.
@ Joe was a catalyst for the Lacombe Community Center.
@ Joe hired the first District 4 Recreation Director.
@ Made District 7 the first in the Parish to have a comprehensive re-zoning plan.
@ Served two terms as both Council Chairman & Vice Chairman... Experience is Key!
@ Coordinated with Wildlife & Fisheries to get the Lake Road Boat Launch completed.
@ Facilitated paving more roads than ever, including Hidden Pines Subdivisions.
@ Upgraded the Fire District to Ambulatory Life Support capability.
@ Joe has held developers accountable and forced adequate drainage requirements conforming with code.
@ Wrote the Blighted Housing Ordinance.
@ Facilitated the first Ad Hoc Judge to enforce Parish codes.
@ Motivated the Parish Council to intensify drainage requirements and landscape ordinances.
@ Worked with commercial land owners to landscape and beautify our community.
@ Brought the Louisiana Heart Hospital, creating economic development.
@ Joe worked with the Sheriff’s Office to bring the first substation to the district.
